    Rational or Irrational Fear Game

Post by Ulqi-chan on Mon Feb 21, 2011 2:50 pm

There are two kinds of fears: Rational and Irrational. In this game, you will first put down a fear. Then say if it's rational or irrational. You will explain in your answer why it is so. Now, remember this: There will be a subject put down and it will change every so often. For example, if the subject is 'amimals', then you will put down an animal and why it's a rational or irrational fear. But if it changes to 'plants', be sure to check the topic! You don't want to put 'bluebirds' under 'plants', do you?
The next poster will either agree with what you said, or disagree. If they disagree, they need to post their reason why it is so. Then they will post their own fear.

    ※Example:
    Subject: Types of people

Ulquiorra: The fear of Realtors is irrational. There is no reason to fear people looking at your house for sale.
Grimmjow: Yeah, I mean c'mon, who would fear some mortal, anyway?
I'd say that bein' afraid of Shinigami is irrational. Me, afraid of that Kurosaki boy? Not likely. All those people do is kill Hollows. Big deal! Anyone can do that!

    Example of disagreeing:

    Subject: Weapons

Grimmjow: Bein' afraid of a bow is irrational. Oh, look at me! I got a bow, like a freakin' little Quincy! Scary!

Ulquiorra: I disagree with that. Bows are long-distance weapons and can impale you. It's rational, but not for me.
Being afraid of an ax is irrational. It helps you cut down trees.※

    Rules:
    1) If you do not post your reason, you will be banished until the next subject is posted.
    2) If your reason is not logical, for example, "Dogs are too cute! IT'S SCARY!!!", you will also e banished until the next subject. Make it logical, please!
    3) Do not say the same thing twice. It's okay if you say 'sword' again if we get to the topic of 'weapons' twice, but don't if you know we haven't changed to subject.

    Well, let's get started!

    Subject: Types of people

Being afraid of the postman is completely irrational. All he's doin' is delivering messages!

I disagree on that part. Postman are doing their jobs to deilver mail!
But in some cases, I say Irrational.

*remember, you have to put a fear yourself*

The fear of bugs is rational.Bugs like poisonous spiders or wasps can really injure you and causes death if you are allergic to it.Another reason is that they make your skin shake when they are on you.

It was the first new day of the century

When I felt like I should cry
    I laughed away my tears

All in all, I'd rather have detention
All in all, I'd rather eat a toad
The old man drives like such a klutz
That I'm about to hurl my guts
    Directly upon the open road

(one question: He said that being afraid of the postman is rational? Wtf? How so?)
Oi! Bugs aren't types of people! I'm sorry, Michelle, but until we make the next subject, you can't be part of this round. D:
The fear of Santa is rational. I mean seriously, who wants some fat guy coming into your house through a chimney? Not me.

    ※Grimmjow: Same here!
    Ulquiorra: I agree as well...※

Fearing strangers is rational, because you have no idea who they could be.
I disagree on Santa. Santa isn't thought to be real, and also he is supposedly "jolly, nice, and happy". If he were to be evil, he would no longer be Santa.

I agree with the stranger. Who knows, he could be te long-lost Zodiac Killer.
Fearing Count Olaf is a rational fear. He has commited Arson, murder and theivery. (lol, Series of Unfortuate Events...I've read all those books)

※Grimmjow: Tch. Well he's mortal, ain't he? No threat there.
Ulquiorra: For us, that is. A danger for fellow humans.※

Bullies are an rational fear because, they are sometimes the problem of kids not coming to school or getting teased everyday.
