*Blink* How to Detect Two-Way Mirrors???

Post by Ulqi-chan on Mon Jan 24, 2011 4:03 pm

I was browsing an Urban Legend website the other day. I came across this article. Do you believe we can detect two-way mirrors by this method? Read and decide for yourself!

    UrbanLegendsOnline.com wrote:
HOW TO DETECT A 2-WAY MIRROR
When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc., how many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or actually a 2-way mirror (i.e., they can see you, but you can’t see them)?

There have been many cases of people installing 2-way mirrors in female changing rooms. It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by just looking at it. So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty what type of mirror we are looking at? Just conduct this simple test:

Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror. However, if your fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail, then BEWARE, FOR IT IS A 2-WAY MIRROR! So remember, every time you see a mirror, do the "fingernail test." It doesn’t cost you anything. It is simple to do, and it might save you from getting "visually raped"!

    ......

    Wow, that is......AWESOME!!

But the thing that would haunt me is being "visually raped" that would suck, really badly.

Well there is Pro's and there is Con's.

    [i]PRO'S

You can tell each other secrets, talk about anything you want. You would ask how nice you look when you are getting dressed, and she/he will be there at any time!

    CON'S

They can be really evil, and want to "rape" you, or harm you in any way (or family members) they can take over the world, because there is mirror's every where (Possibly)

Well they are just my Pro's & Con's.

...Which is why I had this article put here in the first place, Dark, so people can prevent getting "visually raped".

Mirrors can be set in the walls. It's impractical, yes, but it's possible.

It's also possible to trim parts of the mirror so that there is room for your nail while the mirror is still actually a two-way mirror or whatever.

But just like all the other stories, none of it is real, exept ghost stories people have actually experienced.

*facepalm* ...Michelle, I would do so, but I really can't due to the fact that I don't know a hundred people hands down.
And to say it bluntly, it says it works so we have to deal with it.
