No. I will wait for XBOX 720 if necessary.

To be honest, I will switch over to Microsoft if Nintendo doesn't do this right with the Wii Stream.

Sorry for bumping this, but I think this is one of the most intelligent comments on the whole debate.

What's wrong with casual gamers? Is it because they're not obsessed with video games? Why can't people just play games, have fun, and stop worrying about "hardcore" and "casual?" The whole "Hardcore Vs. Casual" debate is one of the most retarded in all of gaming.

No, casual gamers are worthless in my eyes. They can't appreciate games with depth and most lack the intelligence to do so. Thus, they resort to playing games crafted for 5 year olds to waste their lives obsessing over. I hope casual gamers enjoy their pathetic and wretched lives. It must really be fun to jump around in front of a TV like the mindless rats they are. Oooh, lets play a game about the Italian plumber who kills mushrooms. That's really enticing. As expected, most of them kiss the *sses of Nintendo, the pinnacle of stupid gaming. Casual gamers swarm Nintendo and their disgusting creations like bees swarming a hive.

Ooooh, I always wanted to say that ^_^

And that isn't directed towards anyone here, just other casual gamers O_O

I happen to like Mario. I don't like to call myself either hardcore or casual, despite my (retarded) username that I made on other sites. I play games for the fun of it. I'm someone who can play and enjoy both Peggle and Left 4 Dead, or Wii Sports and Grand Theft Auto, or Bejeweled and Call Of Duty. What I'm trying to say is that people shouldn't deliberately avoid playing games simply because they have the casual or hardcore labels.

You always wanted to say that? lulwut I like Mario, Zelda, and Sports, I'm a mix of both. Hardcore and Casual gamer. But the only difference between Hardocre and Casual is, Hardcore CARE about their games. They want THEIR games perfect. And Casual, They don't give a shiz about how their games are made. They just like playing.

A casual-hardcore hybrid, what an abomination....you can't deny it..... Connor, join my side and abandon those wretched games.....you know you must Smile

Please, CoD is not a hardcore game. People who really like CoD are just wannabe hardcore gamers. They act like they're so hardcore, but in truth, other hardcore gamers like me look down on them and view them as inferior. It's true

I really don't see the point in most hardcore gaming details because they're always like "Holy ***, there's no way I'm getting that game the pixilation at this one point is just awful, and just ruins it." Or some other crap like that. Honestly, if the game is fun, play it.

Well I will have to go with Jeff on this one Hardcore Gaming is way better than Casual Gaming.

Hardcore Gaming is somewhat better because the way they Detail the game makes it worth waiting for. The things your able to do in the games make it awesome. The game that I would really want to play is Elder Scrolls, that game looks like an Awesome RPG, it has so much things you can do on it, plus the Graphics are complete kick-***. Well the truth is Hardcore gaming is awesome (For me at least) for others that like Casual gaming, good luck being bored most of the time.

This. Just this. Why should you care whether or not a game fits your definition of "hardcore", when really it's such a ridiculously ambiguous label that it's basically only there to make "hardcore" gamers feel better about themselves since they're playing more supposedly "hardcore" games. I suppose you can say that casual games aren't going to be as difficult as hardcore games, but if the game is still fun, why not play it? It's not like casual games are going to lack depth either; Super Smash Bros Melee was a great casual game, but it still managed to attract a fairly large following for hardcore gamers. Games CAN be a mix and fit with both the casual and hardcore crowd - Plants vs Zombies being my favorite example. This argument between Casual and Hardcore is worse than system wars when the systems were released.
